Your attendees never have to go on their own.
belongi is a Berlin app for small-group hangouts. Publish your event here and members turn it into a plan: up to five people who agree to go together, and who turn up because someone is expecting them.
Nearly a quarter of Berliners feels lonely
That is not our number, it is the city’s own. Berlin’s Senate publishes an annual social report, and the 2025 edition names exactly who is most affected: young people, and people without German citizenship. That is a wide group, and it is not only the newly arrived.
1 in 4
People in Berlin who report feeling lonely, according to the Senate’s Sozialbericht 2025.
“Nearly one in four people in Berlin feels lonely, particularly often young people, men, people on low incomes, and people without German citizenship.”
These are people who would like a reason to leave the house and are missing the person to go with. Your event is the reason. belongi is how they find the other four, so nobody has to walk in on their own.
What belongi is
Some people here have just moved to Berlin. Plenty have lived here for years and are simply busy, or have drifted from the friends they used to see, or find the usual platforms a lot of effort for very little. What they have in common is wanting something specific to do with a few people. belongi is not a feed, not a ticketing platform, and not somewhere anyone performs. Three rules shape everything:
Five people, maximum
Every hangout caps at five. Small enough that nobody hides at the back, and that people notice if you do not come.
No photos
Nobody is judged on a picture. People choose each other on shared interests, which is why they turn up with something to talk about.
Berlin only
One city, real postcodes, real venues. Everyone on belongi can actually get to your door.
What happens when you publish
You are not buying impressions. Your event becomes the reason a few strangers make a specific plan.
You publish the event
Title, place, time, what it is. It appears at the top of every member’s hangouts page, whatever their interests, with your organisation named on it.
Someone turns it into a hangout
One tap fills in your details and opens a group of up to five. Other members ask to join it, and the person who started it decides who comes.
They arrive together
They have a group chat and a plan before the day. Several groups can form around one event, each one going independently.
What you get out of it
Numbers you can actually use
Your dashboard shows how many members viewed each event, day by day, and how many groups formed from it. Kept for a year, so you can compare a Tuesday in November with one in June.
Your name on it
Every event is credited to you and your organisation. Members see who is behind it before they decide to go. It is free brand visibility, which is worth a lot if you are just starting out putting events on.
No cost, no contract
Publishing is free of charge, for ticketed events as much as for free ones. Events that are free to attend and not commercially motivated stay free to publish permanently. There is nothing to sign and nothing to cancel.
The honest bit
We would rather tell you the limits now than have you find them after signing up.
We are in beta
belongi is young and the community is still growing. If you need a guaranteed crowd this month, we are not that yet. If you want to be early somewhere small and local, this is a good moment.
Paid events are welcome, within reason
While we are in beta we are open to every kind of collaboration, so ticketed and paid events go up alongside free ones. What we do not take is a listing whose purpose is to sell something rather than to bring people together. How we handle paid events may change as belongi grows, and any organiser affected would hear from us before it did.
Organiser access is by invitation
There is no sign-up form and no way to pay for placement. Write to us, tell us about your event and who you are, and we will send you an invitation if it fits.
Tell us what you are putting on
A sentence about your event and your organisation is enough to start. We read everything and reply to everyone.
We usually reply within a few days.
